ABOUT

Coloro Studio is an American art and design studio founded by Amy Guip in 2021.
Each piece draws inspiration from organic and geometric forms in the natural world.
Her multi-disciplinary approach blends unique experimentation, fine craftsmanship, and curious play.
Meticulously curated, each piece is developed with materials and finishes that have textural, dimensional,
and reflective qualities, transforming with light of the day.
The result is an eclectic array of artworks to adorn your world.

Guip’s background started with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University.
After graduation, she headed to New York where her works were defined as a blend of photography, collage,
and design. As a visual problem solver, Guip was sought after by an array of diverse clients such as Amazon Studios, HBO, Nike, Coca-Cola, Levi’s, New York Times, Rolling Stone, ESPN, Sony Music, and Random House.

In 1996, her career exploded when she took a job to photograph the cast of Rent and
co-designed the poster for their Broadway debut. Guip’s work earned the prestigious Life Magazine
Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Outstanding Photography in 2000.

While the joy of creation never left, Guip found herself missing the hands-on approach to the creative process
as her work moved to digital formats. Happy accidents in the darkroom printing and the physical assembly
of her collaged works were what caused her to fall in love with the field, so in turn,
Coloro Studio was founded to return to a more tactile and artistic world.
